Shouting the GLORY (Psalm 104:13) to a wonderful and powerful God ... with a little insight from J.S. Bach.

SCRIPTURE: Psalm 104:13 (TM)
The glory of God - let it last forever! Let God enjoy his creation!

STORY:
J.S. Bach said, "All music should have no other end and aim than the glory of God and the soul's refreshment; where this is not remembered there is no real music but only a devilish hub-bub."
He headed his compositions: "J.J." "Jesus Juva" which means "Jesus help me."
He ended them "S.D.G." "Soli Dei gratia" which means "To God alone the praise."

OBSERVATION:
Once there was a preacher, “Preacher John,” in Florida who would blurt out with a very loud voice – GLORY! - and it didn’t matter where he was or who was around him. He would explain that when he felt the Glory of God he just had to let it out.

A religious professor from Union Theological Seminary declared that God had running through his mind the music of J.S. Bach as he created the world.

What is lost too often in our daily existence is the glory of God – the music of the universe, the beauty of our world, the sheer joy and wonder of it all. It gets buried by the living out of our days.

Maybe we need to let loose with a GLORY! every now and again. Don’t pass up a chance to give God the praise and don’t miss out on witnessimg the power and beauty of God … and if we are caught up with it all maybe we too will join “Preacher John” and break forth with a GLORY when we and everyone around us least expects it!

PRAYER:
May our voices give praise and glory to you every day … all day long!
